Are you an Angel?

Are you an angel?
Please be my angel!
I want to kiss you
I want to hold you
I want to love you
I want to listen to your every thought
Do you know you have been blessed with the most amazing eyes?
You are so mesmerizing
I cannot help but think about you
You are definitely an angel
I like watching your lips
You have me entranced
I need you and want you for every moment of the day
And of course, the night too!
You are so beautiful
Intriguing
I just want to keep touching you
You always take me to another dimension
Do you like me?
Do you think you could ever love me?
I know I could love you, actually I do
You inspire me
Perhaps the reason is…
You are an angel…
I want you now, tomorrow and perhaps forever.
Do you want me too?
I hope so…
At least for this moment.
I hope that is okay with you.
Leave your thoughts behind…
And just kiss me.

I am inspired!

I am inspired!  I am inspired by Abraham Lincoln, but not only him, however the men and women who interjected themselves into his life.  Lincoln would have never been able to accomplish what he had done without the help of others.  There were so many who vehemently opposed the 13th amendment, and so many others who stood firmly to uphold it.  It was by God’s grace and the common sense of many to establish a law which corresponds correctly with the natural order of God’s will.  All men are innately equated as equal.

In accordance with that thought, we are not necessarily to treat everyone equally; as the most unfair thing in the world is to treat everyone the same.   There are those who deserve our loyalties, respect and love, and there are others who may find themselves in our lives, but will not be treated with the same reverence.  Yes, we are to bear all things with our neighbor and forgive, and yes we are to love others as ourselves, but yet not everyone equally deserves the same level of our confidences, cares and affection.

As a society today, we as a country are a disappointment to those who have trod before us.  We do not uphold the sanctity of life and continue to abort innocent lives.  We do not respect marriage as we should.  We do not honor God in our choices, and we dedicate too much of our time, energy and loyalties to the frivolity of life, rather than true purpose to positively impact and change the world. We nonetheless, have become selfish, complacent and apathetic to the needs of humanity by neglecting God’s will.

Abraham Lincoln understood His will, prayed long and hard for the preservation of the Union, for the lives of many, and for the freedom of all people.  Today, there are some who still pray, far fewer than those perilous times for our country.  There are those willing to stand up for true morality.  Again, I reiterate, it is time for us all to choose to live our lives differently effected by the purpose to carry the torch of freedom to all peoples throughout the world.  We are to protect God’s innocent creatures and destroy those who do not value life, and the dignity of the innocent.

Unfortunately, it is not always easy, and practice is more difficult than theory, however if we all maintain a level of inspiration by reflecting upon the best in our past, humanity will improve.  It is in my opinion, our country has better leaders than those who presently serve.  They worry too much about their own self-interests rather than the true interests of a nation of people.  We should dedicate more time to look around the world and learn from the mistakes of others, and in doing so, gain perspective to lead ourselves around the pitfalls and temptations which could beguile us to a greater doom.  Good leaders are statesman first, politicians second.  There is much more to being a patriot than lining a pocketbook with the color green.

We as a nation have grown soft, you can see it, sense it and feel it throughout our society.  We should not be so blinded by always taking the easier routes to useless, hopeless destinations which provide no service to ourselves or humanity.  It is impractical to believe the easy road is the right road.  My friends, it is the tough treacherous routes which build strength and character.  The reality is these routes are not so tough once we choose to be disciplined.  Those who have done so in the past as in the present are more robust, resilient and able to maintain their independence from unwarranted tyranny.  So today, what I am asking of you is to consider the choices which may seem daunting, arduous if you will demanding the best of what lies within you.  In doing so, you may not always exact the best choices with each decision made, however be placed upon a truer higher course reaching within and upward to fulfill the will of God.  I am sure this is what Lincoln believed, and inspires me.

The Island

No one loves me
Or wants to love me
I am an Island
Elusive, far off and deserted
Sometimes there are visitors, but no one stays
There are those I want to love
There are others I approach,
but they seem not to care
Sometimes when I try, it is not the right fit, and I know
Those that know me realize the expansive of truth of who I am
They embrace me and are unafraid
I am real, grounded and seasoned
Perhaps too complex for some
Perhaps too simple for others
Perhaps too perfect, or too imperfect
What does it really matter, I am accepting of reality
No one is perfect, nor am I
There is good and there is bad
So what!

I want to sail the ocean and chase the sun and the moon.
I want to see all the stars in the dark sky glisten upon waters of the sea
I am unafraid of the abyss.
I have courage, just seeking another courageous soul.
Time is passing too fast
Maybe we should chase moments rather than eternity
Of course, it is the most spectacular moments which create the memories
making eternity palatable
Does that make sense to you?
I want to smile and bring smiles and happiness into the world
much more so than you really know.
Perhaps my existence is not important to the world or to truly anyone,
the annals of time will soon forget my presence.
Do you know anyone from 100 years ago which means anything to you?
Who thinks you are special? Of course, your list is much longer than mine.
Pity is foolish, especially self-pity.
I will keep trying, perhaps one day may find a hand that fits in mine.
A smile which never tires of the one they see
I love you, you know that… right!
You should!
I am leaving this forsaken island, it is time you leave too.
Good Bye for now!

Follow me!

God said, “Why is it you never listen to me?”
“Why do you always listen to those in the world?”
“How come you never read my word, and when you do, fail to take heed?”
“Why do you chase after the riches and pleasures of this world, rather than realizing
seeking after me, you will be given all you ever desire.”
“I know what you see in her eyes, but is she really what you want?”
“I know what you need, what you long for and truly what is best for you.
 “Follow me.”
Man said, “I know it is always best to follow you like a small child, but why
is it that I believe what is best for me rather than you who created the universe?”
God said, “I gave you free will, and it is your nature.”
Man said, “Why would you give me such a gift that creates at times so much misery in my life,
and could send me eternally in the flames of hell?”
God said, “I chose you to be my child, all you have to do is follow.”
Man responded, “Is it really that easy? …then why do I make it so hard?”
God remarked, “Life is only hard if you choose it to be that way.”
God continued, “Life is whatever you believe it to be, easy or hard, free and empowering or perhaps
imprisoning, it is whatever you choose it to be.” “If you want it to be the best, then just follow me.”
The man remarked, “I will try!”
God smiled, “I will give you strength, and enough faith to believe in you and in me.”
Grateful, the man said, “Thank you Lord!
And God remarked, “I love you and I always will, just listen to me and your life will maybe not always be easy, but you will partake of all the greatest fruits… love, peace and joy. Go in peace, and by all means always follow me.”

October

It is October, September has been swept away and the summer is long over.  While gazing at the changing colors in the leaves in the hills, they seem to shout out a million small goodbyes.  The lake water is no longer warm and the breezes seem to always originate from a northerly track rather than from the warm gulf-stream.  As I hike high up in the hills, the trees remind me of their long standing presence from season to season over the course of a multiplicity of years.  They have witnessed a collection of good seasons and bad seasons, but yet they still stand.  If they could speak to the history they have beheld.  Their fortitude is a testament to our need as humans to persevere.

In the mornings, the steamy fog arises from the surface of the nearby lakes high into the morning sky causing the hills to appear as if they are yawning… awaking if you will to the dawn of a new day.  The mid-day sky seems so clear, crisp and bright as the blue hues awaken and insight enthusiasm within our souls.  And each evening, the beauty of nature explodes across the horizon with so many wondrous colors that fill the sky before the darkness of evening arrives.

So it is October, the last of any lingering summer days to tell us goodbye, and with it a time to reflect upon the great gifts we have all been provided in this life, and proof God is indeed alive.

'Dream Dust'

Dream dust is the longings of our heart’s unrealized desires.

It is the lover’s lips we never kissed, even though in our dreams we kissed a thousand times. It is the hands we never held, those special ones we never held tight. It is a vacant place within our souls where we stand on the edge of the abyss gazing into the distance.  It is found only in a private personal space only known to ourselves.  It is found in a dwelling place within our minds that only we, know all too well.  It is not necessarily always a happy place, as it is the storehouse for unrequited love.  It is the lover’s we knew and are no longer in our life; it is the hands we held for a moment and lips we kissed which were never ours to really to softly touch.  Dream dust is our most sought-after visions we stored away in lieu of new directions.  It is found only within the locked domicile of our mind where our heart’s expressions have perished for the sake of perhaps life’s greater good.  It is a place where we keep the memories of those eyes that momentarily locked with ours glancing at each other revealing a glimpse of our soul's longings before walking away.  Perhaps we should act on every impulse realizing the urgency of living in this life before it is too late breathing our last breaths, and it is more than our dreams which have turned to dust.

Magic Hour

It is magic hour, the last hour of the day, at least the final moments of dusk before the sun slips away to the other side of the earth.  It is the conclusion of a day when the western sky is decorated with a million vibrant colors and we are able to reflect upon this day, our own lives, and the future.  Magic hour is an hour of meditation when we are taken away from one reality to the reality of the moment that this is our life we are living now, and must take advantage of every minute.   The sun is disappearing away into the horizon; and we just want to stop to silently gaze into the abyss as we wish time could be captured and re-lived over and over as we will never retrieve this moment again.  We realize life is so valuable we must live every minute with urgency as we discover our life is sacred to be lived as an emergency before our time of shining on this earth slips away as well.

As we view the many luminous colors decorating the clouds, we choose to enter the inner-recesses of our minds seeking out every corner and brushing away all the un-necessary trivia and choosing to only consider what is significant.  We choose thoughts of loving and giving.  We rediscover what we were created to be rather than what we have become.  We select to become more worthy and realize we must live the dreams most prominent within our souls.

In this hour, we are reminded to seek out to be with those who value life and each other with the same veracity as ourselves. We pursue not necessarily perfection, but fulfillment based upon a sense of completion which can be defined by our set of standards.  We live by our own baseline of achievement if you will, recognizing we cannot allow the moments of our lives slip away; but rather live them creating a large volume of memories to be captured within our minds and those with whom we share them.

It is magic hour, the last hour of the day, an hour to dream of possibilities.  It makes no difference if we are alone gazing into the distance or with someone special side by side perhaps holding their hand realizing together the significance of the moment.  Life is sacred to be lived as an emergency before our time of shining on this earth slips away.  Love, and go and live your life.

A Recipe for An Amazing Woman

A recipe for the most amazing woman…
One part: Intelligence
One part: Compassion
One part: Positive Attitude
One part: Sensitive Heart
One part: Sexiness
One part: Mystery
One part: HOT!

Even a French chef could not make an amazing woman, the ingredients too incomprehensible to even imagine.  Hold on here, some may think… what is he talking about!  A woman cannot be that incredible,
Perhaps maybe she is, so along the idea of creating an amazing woman using a well-worn or new exciting recipe, here are some thoughts.
A Recipe for Amazing
A Recipe of an Amazing Woman
A Recipe for an Amazing Relationship
Easy…. Just a couple of steps, a little of this and a little of that and stir well
Wouldn’t that be so easy, perhaps it is, and we make it way too complicated for our good!
So… seriously an amazing woman, of course she is real and incredible!
An amazing woman can always be herself.
She has incredible confidence, self-assurance and her inner-beauty that radiates from within.
She is sweet, she is edgy, she is avant-garde, glorious and magnetic in her own unique way.
She is one of the most beautiful and interesting pieces of artwork you have ever witnessed.
She has style and is even tempered, yet expressive and mesmerizing.
It is not like she really has to try… it is who she is.
She is like a smooth jazz ballad, addicting and unforgettable.
You never grow tired of her as she is fresh, original, exciting, and bright.
Of course she is amazing!
Always true to herself, you just want to always know more of who she is…
You hang on to her every word and gesture.
She is incredible, wonderful and every other mind-blowing word found in the dictionary.
Perhaps she will never figure it out, realize how great she is or understand why…
Her aura proceeds her, illuminating her presence… bright, colorful and magnificent.
It just isn’t her outer-beauty, it is what radiates so brilliantly from within her soul,
the very essence from the core of her being.
Her persona is captivating, and one is riveted by her charm.
So in my own thoughts the recipe for an amazing woman is to allow her to be herself.
And of course, be thoughtful and intelligent enough to enjoy absolutely every moment you are blessed
to experience with her.
So, the recipe is easy… allow the woman to be her authentic self, true to the core of her being and in doing so her spirit will fly free and abound in happiness and love.

First Meeting

Preface:  The whole secret to finding someone special is to embrace and appreciate who they are as they are, rather than imposing your values and tenets.

“Who are you?”  She remarked as he sat down at a table in front of her.  She said, “Tell me about you, I want to know who you are?”  He was somewhat taken aback, not really sure where to begin as he internally hesitated in an attempt to represent himself as bold rather than brash.  He began to speak and he could see in her eyes and observing her body language that she was truly listening.  However, he really wanted to know her, what moves her, motivates her and provides her a sense of worth and a reason for living.

He felt obliged to share with her an abbreviated autobiography limited to broader subjects more appealing and attractive than a dossier of dull self-promotion.  Truly, he was more curious about her rather than concerned about promoting a noteworthy reason for himself being in her life, even for this moment.

The conversation between the two strangers from onlookers appeared to be thought-provoking, the subjects a little out of the ordinary for those who rather seek uncomplicated dialogue.  But to this man and woman who just met in a restaurant breaking bread and sharing a moment, the interchange of thoughts revealed a connection unveiling the birth of the beginnings of a spiritual bonding.

It was obvious to him as he gazed into her eyes that she is truthful and possesses a sense of innocence as she expressed her longing to free herself from material trappings.  He witnessed her virtuous nature unspoiled by the madness in the world.  She seemed free from it all, and he wanted to learn more about her, so he too, could find a way to discover the same place where her soul resides.

There is a freeing nature about her character, and he found her high level of confidence to be quite attractive and alluring.  He was most definitely enamored with the level of mental intelligence she exhibited about life and the current state of this world.  He longs to learn and discover more about the intelligence that lies in her heart, as without a doubt he is attracted not only to her smile, but essence of soul.  He noticed everything about her and enjoyed the frankness of the conversation and walked away wanting to know more and hoping that she truly does as well.

Everyday our life is about our own personal encounters, not only with others, but also with ourselves and the decisions we make.  Those decisions all have a high level of importance because they effect the short term and long term course of our lives.  Always be yourself, and always be true to your highest values and your life will be fulfilled.

Unrequited Love Dream

She said touch me
I remarked where
She said everywhere
She lied down
Where would you like me to start… as if I had to ask
She said wherever I would like
In that moment, I knew she was mine
So I touched her lips first with the edge of my finger
She closed her eyes
I touched her smile with my lips
We began to kiss deeply
Gently moving the palm of my hands against hers
I listen to her breathe
I felt the beat of her heart, and she looked at me
And I stopped for just a moment to gaze into her eyes
I could see her soul
It was as if it were midnight and we could clearly see the brilliance of all the stars
We both fell into the abyss
And then we knew our souls had touched
She was so remarkable
It seemed as if we both had kissed a thousand lips before, but none like ours
Kissing each other was more than a momentary need to only need fulfilled
It had always been our life’s mission to find ourselves this in moment
We could no longer silence the expression of our emotions
She was real, the feelings in my heart was the all evidence needed
She was angelic
We had always known each other, in a very deep way, not just in this life, but in lives before
I cannot explain, nor can she
Maybe it is only revealed in the silent communication between our two souls
We just loved each other and always had with a quiet understanding, and it was always okay
An acceptable acknowledgement of unrequited love, at least in this life
We surely were lovers in a previous age
In this life we had never dared to kiss before
But the feelings were always so strong
The silence had to be overcome
We only needed the arrival of this moment
A time we both could be safe from the reprise of the world
We exchanged simultaneously those longed for precious words
Expressing the deep feelings of our love and deep devotion
We knew no fear
Our lives were fulfilled with happy adulation embracing the moment
Removing feelings of eternal exasperation in exchange for meaningful bliss
She has always known how I have felt
Finally it was okay
Our souls have always been connected and we have always been so close.
Maybe that is why we have always kept our promises to one another
And held such great mutual trust.
Life is so short!
We should always act upon our impulses, at least those guided by our intuition
Before it is too late.
Life is so short!
You know I love you
And I always will!

Be Yourself!

“Be yourself everyone else is taken.” – Oscar Wilde

Have you ever wondered who you are?

Is what the world sees and notices the real you?

Who are you really?

Can we take a few minutes to talk about you, who you are?

and who you want to be?

Are you brave, strong, virile and courageous?

How about sweet, loving, kind and considerate...

What makes you… you?

Are you worth loving and caring for?

The days pass by so fast,

I wish we could turn back time,

maybe not time itself, but our time to maybe

to age 23, 24, or 25 even 26 would be good!

Would you be stronger, more energetic and perhaps cool?

How would you live differently knowing what you know now?

How about starting living that way today, now…

you know in the present moment.

Be yourself

Love yourself

Tell the truth, live the truth

Don’t kiss and tell, rather kiss and keep kissing.

Love is about Life

And Life is about Love.

You may not believe me

You really do not have to, but it would be sad

for you to live differently.

Make up your mind already, who do you want to be.

How do you want to live your life?

Stop wondering who you are and be who you are.

Be yourself

Tell the truth, live the truth.

Just be you, the real you!

Seize the Moment!

Opportunities come to those who seek them.  Obviously, that is not some revolutionary truth, however a time-tested truism in regard to the nature of achievement.  Nothing has ever been accomplished by those who do not take risks, chance disaster or decide to make choices others would regard as precarious.  This New Year offers many prospects for those who possess an opportunistic nature.  It is our responsibility to forge ahead with bravado stretching ourselves to become more and realize the life of our dreams lies within reach.  Of course, as the ‘ole cliché’ suggests it is the journey, not the destination that makes the person.

Easy to Love

Why are you so scared to love me?
I am very easy to love
There is a fountain within in my soul
It is overflowing, generous and real
My motives are unquestionable
I am authentic, the bona fide real deal
Unfeigned sincerity resides within
You may quell your fears
Lay aside your worries

Perhaps it really isn’t me
Why do you hold on to your hurts?
Let them fade away
They only exist in your memory
Some memories are not worth keeping

Sorry for being honest, perhaps I shouldn’t be
But of course, that is not who I am
There is nothing artificial here
So let’s be frank…
What do you want?
And do you really want it?

Stop letting time slip away
The days are growing short
And there is only so much life
So today, decide to love
And doing so, decide to live.
You know there is more to this story
I can only write and live my part of the script
The rest is up to you.
So steady yourself… and believe
Let your faith take over

I am unafraid.
But there is no use until you are too.
I pray you’ll be courageous.
As always, the choice is yours.

A Letter to Me!

You are magnificent!  First of all, congratulations upon making it through another year of life where instead of just getting by, you grew and became more.  You read books, listen to sermons and speeches, wrote letters and journal entries, climbed another mountain, achieved new goals and even sailed in a storm or two.  You enhanced your personal relationships and strengthened your resolve to achieve all the goals in your life.

Well me, here’s the deal: I challenge you to step it up another notch!  There is so much more to you than most ordinary human beings.  You realize life is not about just getting by… paying bills and reducing debt and living only a mere existence surrounding yourself with the contentment of living life as a dreamer with unfulfilled desires.  Rather than living vicariously through others, you are an achiever, courage and daring do are the hallmarks of your personality.

Everyone who knows you realizes when you say you are going to something, you do it!  Likewise, any mountain or obstacle in your life, you will find a way to conquer it.  So, since you are not ordinary, but rather extraordinary, I challenge to accomplish every goal you have set and live the life of your dreams.  This is the year where the canvass of your imagination is painted in such vivid colors that reality manifests itself with each glance and step.  You are a man of action, and live proudly so.  It is not that you are not humble, because you are; but rather than live life in front of a television set or movie screen, you are the producer, the director and the leading man living a glorious existence.

I am proud of you as you believe in yourself more than anyone else.  I am proud that you are not arrogant and egocentric, rather obliging and respectful to others.  You do everything in your power to enhance the lives of every single person you meet.   You are cheerful, positive, optimistic, and leave every conversation and meeting with others wanting more of you.

You are the man and you know it.  This is your moment in eternity to change the world.  I challenge you to give away more of yourself, the more you give away of yourself, time, talents and abilities, the more the world will give back to you.  You are an awesome creature, and God has great plans for you.   You are a great lover of life and unafraid to share your emotions, it is what makes you special.

You have incredible energy, it is because you work-out every single day, and live fearlessly; giving away smiles and kisses living unafraid.  God loves you and He replenishes your spirit as you spend time with Him each day.

So my man, go and live a remarkable uncharacteristic life; be everything you want to be and change the world, making it to be as you wish it to be.  Go and live the life of your dreams!  I love you dearly!

Godspeed!

A Reflection!

Today is December 31st, and one of the best days of the year as we reflect on the accomplishments of this past year and the hopes for the future.  As I personally reflect upon this past year, I have been blessed in so many ways receiving so much to make my life better.  The greatest thing I have received is greater confidence, inner acknowledgement that all my dreams are coming true and an understanding that it is my responsibility to manifest all the good in my life.

As I embark upon this New Year, it is with excitement, and exceptionally so, knowing that whatever I think upon and focus my thoughts is what will manifest into my life.  I hope you also realize the same remains true for you.  The screen saver on my computer is filled with photos of all the goals in my life of places, maps, people and things that I am bringing into my personal existence.  Of course, I am not the type to sit back and believe it will all just happen, but taking daily action steps to make my dreams come true.

We all have an obligation to live an impressive life, and the basis for living so is how we give to others.  I challenge you my friends to create a list of all those you plan to help and support.  Perhaps you desire to fund the digging of a well in Africa, feeding the homeless in the U.S., building schools in Haiti, or saving the environment so we all might live better now and also provide for future generations.   Maybe you plan to volunteer your time to give aide to others, counsel, listen or be a special friend to someone less fortunate that really needs your help.

We all have so little time, rather than live average, I encourage you to live a phenomenal life accomplishing a vast array of goals.  Then when reflecting upon your days at a very old age, you will die pleased knowing that you lived for more than just yourself, and rather than just getting by you lived the life of your dreams.

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

Happy New Year!

Thinking of You!

I think love I you…
Do you know what that means?
Do you know how special you are?
You are incredible
Just thinking of you makes me smile
I hope you are happy
Really happy!
You are the definition of wonderful
I wish for you to always be incredibly blessed
You deserve to be.
My life is better for knowing you
Rather than rushing, I am glad that I held back
It’s because you deserve all the reverence in the world
And perhaps because I want you for more than just a moment
Don’t ask me how, but you make the world turn
At least mine.
And one day, I want to love you!
I want to gaze into your eyes
I want to touch you
I want to really hold you!
I want you for more than just a moment
I hope you want me too!
Until that day, every time I think of you
I will smile
And be glad for just knowing you.
And…by the way, just so you know...
I do love you!

Dream and Live!

What is in the past, is in the past!  Listening to the lyrics of a Taylor Swift song, she used those words and it caused me to think she is so right.  It seems many people live in the past, when there are so many dreams we can dream - dreams to be realized if we just reveal our best selves to the world.  I hope for you this day during the next few moments you begin to think about your dreams.  Life is so fleeting, it moves quickly and we have just this one chance, it would a shame to just blow it!  Find your passion and pursue it!  Love with all your heart!  Be true to who you are and make every moment in your life count.

I dare you to write down ten dreams you desire to achieve in your life.  I dare you to take action on one of those dreams today.  What do you seek in your life?   Do you want to make a difference?  Are you seeking to love and be loved?  I hope it is not just money you are chasing, there is so much more to life.

Do something today to make you know that you are alive, smile broadly and live.

Today!

It has been awhile since posting on my blog, my life has been wrapped up in work.  Some time ago while watching an interview with Tim McGraw, he said the best songs are written when the writer feels pain; it is usually only then his or her true feelings are transcribed onto paper.  I remember him saying emotions are more raw and the depth of one’s feelings are more easily expressed.  There is probably a great deal of truth to his comment, as it seems to easier to let my feelings flow when thinking about hurt.   Of course, my intent has always been to keep this blog as positive a possible as an encouragement for my followers and those who are only passing by to read a post or two.  My hope today is to share with you some words to help you grow in some way.

We are spirit beings incased inside of these bodies we travel in, who you see in the mirror is only a small reflection of you.  The real you is found within, it is your soul, the real person you are.  I am fortunate to have a soul connection with a few people.  There are times when those I am connected with are very close, and other times when we are not so close, but yet there is a connection.  So what is the true condition of your soul?  The smile lines on your face and the glow in your eyes are a good indicator of the condition of your spirit.  For those who have traveled along this life with hurt, yet finding a way to always provide a positive glow to others possess a special radiance that illuminates the world around them.  It makes them more magnetic as they welcome others into their sphere unafraid to share truth and provide peaceful thoughts.

Today, I want for you to realize you are special, there is something wonderful about you and there are others who need you.  Do not be afraid to share the depth of your emotions, your true feelings revealing them to those who have most meaning in your life.  In doing so, it brings comfort to your soul and theirs forging an eternal bond that will remain forever.  There are those who have meaning in your life for which your soul will be connected forever, the best thing we can do is to love others, and at some point God will return the favor to us.

Faith

Hebrews 11

New International Version (NIV)

Faith in Action

11 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for.
By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
By faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith he was commended as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead.
By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.”[a] For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.
By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. 10 For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God. 11 And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she[b] considered him faithful who had made the promise. 12 And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore.
13 All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth. 14 People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. 15 If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.
17 By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had embraced the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son, 18 even though God had said to him, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.”[c] 19 Abraham reasoned that God could even raise the dead, and so in a manner of speaking he did receive Isaac back from death.
20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau in regard to their future.
21 By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph’s sons, and worshiped as he leaned on the top of his staff.
22 By faith Joseph, when his end was near, spoke about the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt and gave instructions concerning the burial of his bones.
23 By faith Moses’ parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king’s edict.
24 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. 25 He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. 26 He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. 27 By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible. 28 By faith he kept the Passover and the application of blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn would not touch the firstborn of Israel.
29 By faith the people passed through the Red Sea as on dry land; but when the Egyptians tried to do so, they were drowned.
30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the army had marched around them for seven days.
31 By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient.[d]
32 And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets, 33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies. 35 Women received back their dead, raised to life again. There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an even better resurrection. 36 Some faced jeers and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. 37 They were put to death by stoning;[e] they were sawed in two; they were killed by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated— 38 the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, living in caves and in holes in the ground.
39 These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, 40 since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.

Are You Scared to Live?

Are you scared to live?

I am asking you this question because it needs answered!  Based upon what I know about myself and others, it is my opinion, most people are scared to live.  We want the ideal body, but yet we either starve ourselves or eat junk and fail to exercise regularly.  We seek the perfect relationship, yet we have unrealistic standards, fail to communicate, become susceptible to our fears and lose ourselves to a pseudo reality.

What emotions move you?  Is it pursuing happiness or perhaps you are driven by fear to pay your bills,  the unknowns of the future, or runaway from hurt based upon unbelief in yourself and the divinity God placed within your soul.  What do you want in your life?  Truly, I am asking as your friend… what do you want?

Every day, as you evaluate your time what are the reasons behind your decisions?  What are you truly capable of achieving in this life?    Is there a sense of trepidation within your soul?  Toss aside your worries, the anxiety of fear, and society’s phobias into the abyss.  This is your life, your moment to shine and stand out, not that you are seeking the world’s attention, but to seek the greatness and divinity inside yourself for your own sake.

Now is the time to shed your fears and reveal the light within your soul.  We all have only so many moments given to us.  God has provided each as a special gift known to us each day as the present.
So stop running away from your fears, decide to live your life with faith based upon taking daily action steps to live the life of your dreams.

God loves you!  We may not be able to comprehend the maladies of this world, however rather than filling our minds with the constant alarm of fear, we must trudge on!  Like a mountain climber, we take one step at a time and with the help of others and the right equipment, we will experience success.

So my friend, stop being so scared to live and write down your dreams, believe with feeling their very existence and go live your life.
