A Reflection!

Today is December 31st, and one of the best days of the year as we reflect on the accomplishments of this past year and the hopes for the future.  As I personally reflect upon this past year, I have been blessed in so many ways receiving so much to make my life better.  The greatest thing I have received is greater confidence, inner acknowledgement that all my dreams are coming true and an understanding that it is my responsibility to manifest all the good in my life.

As I embark upon this New Year, it is with excitement, and exceptionally so, knowing that whatever I think upon and focus my thoughts is what will manifest into my life.  I hope you also realize the same remains true for you.  The screen saver on my computer is filled with photos of all the goals in my life of places, maps, people and things that I am bringing into my personal existence.  Of course, I am not the type to sit back and believe it will all just happen, but taking daily action steps to make my dreams come true.

We all have an obligation to live an impressive life, and the basis for living so is how we give to others.  I challenge you my friends to create a list of all those you plan to help and support.  Perhaps you desire to fund the digging of a well in Africa, feeding the homeless in the U.S., building schools in Haiti, or saving the environment so we all might live better now and also provide for future generations.   Maybe you plan to volunteer your time to give aide to others, counsel, listen or be a special friend to someone less fortunate that really needs your help.

We all have so little time, rather than live average, I encourage you to live a phenomenal life accomplishing a vast array of goals.  Then when reflecting upon your days at a very old age, you will die pleased knowing that you lived for more than just yourself, and rather than just getting by you lived the life of your dreams.

Happy New Year!

Thinking of You!

I think love I you…
Do you know what that means?
Do you know how special you are?
You are incredible
Just thinking of you makes me smile
I hope you are happy
Really happy!
You are the definition of wonderful
I wish for you to always be incredibly blessed
You deserve to be.
My life is better for knowing you
Rather than rushing, I am glad that I held back
It’s because you deserve all the reverence in the world
And perhaps because I want you for more than just a moment
Don’t ask me how, but you make the world turn
At least mine.
And one day, I want to love you!
I want to gaze into your eyes
I want to touch you
I want to really hold you!
I want you for more than just a moment
I hope you want me too!
Until that day, every time I think of you
I will smile
And be glad for just knowing you.
And…by the way, just so you know...
I do love you!

Dream and Live!

What is in the past, is in the past!  Listening to the lyrics of a Taylor Swift song, she used those words and it caused me to think she is so right.  It seems many people live in the past, when there are so many dreams we can dream - dreams to be realized if we just reveal our best selves to the world.  I hope for you this day during the next few moments you begin to think about your dreams.  Life is so fleeting, it moves quickly and we have just this one chance, it would a shame to just blow it!  Find your passion and pursue it!  Love with all your heart!  Be true to who you are and make every moment in your life count.

I dare you to write down ten dreams you desire to achieve in your life.  I dare you to take action on one of those dreams today.  What do you seek in your life?   Do you want to make a difference?  Are you seeking to love and be loved?  I hope it is not just money you are chasing, there is so much more to life.

Do something today to make you know that you are alive, smile broadly and live.

Today!

It has been awhile since posting on my blog, my life has been wrapped up in work.  Some time ago while watching an interview with Tim McGraw, he said the best songs are written when the writer feels pain; it is usually only then his or her true feelings are transcribed onto paper.  I remember him saying emotions are more raw and the depth of one’s feelings are more easily expressed.  There is probably a great deal of truth to his comment, as it seems to easier to let my feelings flow when thinking about hurt.   Of course, my intent has always been to keep this blog as positive a possible as an encouragement for my followers and those who are only passing by to read a post or two.  My hope today is to share with you some words to help you grow in some way.

We are spirit beings incased inside of these bodies we travel in, who you see in the mirror is only a small reflection of you.  The real you is found within, it is your soul, the real person you are.  I am fortunate to have a soul connection with a few people.  There are times when those I am connected with are very close, and other times when we are not so close, but yet there is a connection.  So what is the true condition of your soul?  The smile lines on your face and the glow in your eyes are a good indicator of the condition of your spirit.  For those who have traveled along this life with hurt, yet finding a way to always provide a positive glow to others possess a special radiance that illuminates the world around them.  It makes them more magnetic as they welcome others into their sphere unafraid to share truth and provide peaceful thoughts.

Today, I want for you to realize you are special, there is something wonderful about you and there are others who need you.  Do not be afraid to share the depth of your emotions, your true feelings revealing them to those who have most meaning in your life.  In doing so, it brings comfort to your soul and theirs forging an eternal bond that will remain forever.  There are those who have meaning in your life for which your soul will be connected forever, the best thing we can do is to love others, and at some point God will return the favor to us.

Be Determined

What do you want?  Truly, what do you want in your life?   If you do not have it, then what are you waiting for?  You have all the power within your soul to achieve your dreams.  There is no reason to allow anything or anyone to stop you.  Life does take commitment and discipline, and that is up to you to supply; and with enough determination, you can achieve the greatest of goals and live your dreams.  Tomorrow morning when you awake, live your plan, execute it perfectly in every way and you will discover all the pieces of the puzzle no matter the complexity will piece by piece be matched up perfectly.   Today, my friend, decide to care, decide to love and decide to live.

Faith

Hebrews 11

New International Version (NIV)

Faith in Action

11 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for.
By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
By faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith he was commended as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead.
By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.”[a] For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.
By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. 10 For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God. 11 And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she[b] considered him faithful who had made the promise. 12 And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore.
13 All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth. 14 People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. 15 If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.
17 By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had embraced the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son, 18 even though God had said to him, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.”[c] 19 Abraham reasoned that God could even raise the dead, and so in a manner of speaking he did receive Isaac back from death.
20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau in regard to their future.
21 By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph’s sons, and worshiped as he leaned on the top of his staff.
22 By faith Joseph, when his end was near, spoke about the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt and gave instructions concerning the burial of his bones.
23 By faith Moses’ parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king’s edict.
24 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. 25 He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. 26 He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. 27 By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible. 28 By faith he kept the Passover and the application of blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn would not touch the firstborn of Israel.
29 By faith the people passed through the Red Sea as on dry land; but when the Egyptians tried to do so, they were drowned.
30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the army had marched around them for seven days.
31 By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient.[d]
32 And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets, 33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies. 35 Women received back their dead, raised to life again. There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an even better resurrection. 36 Some faced jeers and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. 37 They were put to death by stoning;[e] they were sawed in two; they were killed by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated— 38 the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, living in caves and in holes in the ground.
39 These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, 40 since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.
